World Marathon Challenge

In January of 2018 I went on a global adventure with the World Marathon Challenge as part of a 2 man film crew.

The event featured 50 competitors who attempted to run 7 marathons across 7 continents within 7 days or complete 184 miles / 296km within 168 hours, all while dealing with the logistics of leaping through time zones, airports, buses and only getting to sleep on the plane.

The quickest runner always came in in about 3 hours while the slowest was 8 hours.

The production task was to film, edit and post a highlight video for each race all before boarding the plane to the next destination. This meant we would film for 4 hours and edit for 4 hours on location before going back to the airport to start the next leg.

The total air travel was 36,945 miles / 59,463 km and the changing locations made for an incredible backdrop.
