Antarctic Ice Marathon

In December of 2018 I made my third trip to Antarctica and my second trip to Union Glacier Camp. Due to extreme weather a scheduled 2 night stay turned into a full week sleeping on the ice until our pilots were able to make a safe extraction and flight home.

51 competitors from 16 different countries braved the elements to complete the 42km / 26.2miles course, finishing in a total white out with blizzard like conditions.

This project was created with my international partner in crime Francisco Mattos.
